Our President & CEO Philip Li was delighted to share his insights on how interest in trust-based philanthropy has shifted during the pandemic for a major new publication, the Monitor Institute by Deloitte’s What’s Next for Philanthropy in the 2020s report.

The report comes as a result of a thorough 18-month research process, including interviews with 200+ philanthropy executives, professionals, donors, board members, experts, and grantees.

According to Jen Smith of Deloitte, “the study (funded by Deloitte Tax LLP and the W.K. Kellogg, MacArthur, Robert Wood Johnson, and McConnell foundations) looks at the ‘Big Shifts’ that are now changing the world and how they are influencing the emerging ‘Edges’ of philanthropic practice in the field. The main report, entitled Seeing Philanthropy in a New Light, is accompanied by a set of documents diving more deeply into each of the four key Edges described in the report, as well as a powerful and fun do-it-yourself card game aimed at helping challenge orthodoxies and assumptions about how philanthropy is done. Additional materials will be added to the website over the coming months. Our hope with these resources is to kick off a dialogue among leaders in the field about where philanthropy might be headed over the coming decade.”

We encourage you to check out the report at the link below.
