About two years ago, the Robert Sterling Clark Foundation launched the Sterling Network NYC as an exploration into the power of networks to catalyze system-level change around economic mobility at the intersection of racial equity. From the beginning, we knew that regularly evaluating the network—reflecting on progress to date, assessing key successes, and identifying areas for growth—would be essential.

To that end, we are pleased to be releasing our first Sterling Network NYC Impact Report. We underwent an intentional evaluation of our progress, and the report contains some key findings of that evaluation.

I don’t want to say too much more in this space, because I think you’ll find the report itself to be illuminating and revealing. The network is not a static enterprise—in fact it’s quite the opposite. Careful evaluation allows us to keep moving forward, always with a mindset toward growth. I hope you enjoy the Impact Report.
